[Review] Trio Academy

Hey everyone ♥
Today I want to do a little bit of an unusual Review. It is a bit of a shame that this will mainly interest people who live in Germany, or more precicely in some party of Germany, but I believe that something like Trio exists everywhere.
So~ what am I talking about anyway?

Trio Academy is a place where people can get a super nice haircut for a really decent price. The catch is, that the haircut will be done by trainees. In a way, this means that it won't be a professional hairdresser who takes care of your hair but a person who is still about to become a hairdresser and is therefore quite unexperienced. But you will find my pros and cons at the end of this post.

Let's talk about my experience first ♪
I think I should also say that I wasn't sponsored or anything and that these thoughts are solely of my own.

If you are interested in the 'real thing', namely the haidresser, then you can go here:

Trio is based in many towns ♥
Hannover
Hamburg
Hameln
Hildesheim
Köln
Potsdam
Wolfenbüttel [seriously, no offense but why there?]

And as far as I know, there are two Trio academies♥
Hannover (Listermeile 25)
Köln (Maarweg 18)

Here is the webside

As for the Academy in Hannover I can say that I had no trouble finding it, however it is located in the backyard of some buildings in a little bit of an dodgy area.
When I entered the building, the atmosphere completely changed ♥
It is super clean, bright (many windows) and they have a little coffee bar as well as rooms which they use for training and seminars as well as lectures. :D
It was super interesting to see how haidressers learn their stuff.

Here you go, have a look for yourselves ♪

As you can see, rather brown hair started to grow. I am a natural blonde; however I think I was really blonde when I was younger and now my genes 'decided' that I should have brown hair. I disagree. So I had no choice but to go with highlights ♥ Also I asked for a cut because I thought my ends were broken. The hairdressers [I will tell you later more about them] said that it would be in excellent condition ♥ So they did not have to cut off a lot. Yay!
I am one of these people who always say ''cut off as little as possible...pleeease''

Hairdressers: I used the plural form before, and that's correct. There was one trainee but he was supervised by his mentor ♪ I felt really 'save' haha. The mentor gave advice and was constantly looking at us so there was really no need to worry. I panicked only for a moment when I saw that there was green stuff on my hair but it was only the haid-dye :'D It gets green when it gets dry (and is ready to be taken off)
The trainee was really nice and talkative; maybe a little bit too much but he gave me the best cut/styling advice I ever got. I felt like he really took his time to make sure that I was happy in the end.
I also had the feeling that I learned a lot, both from the trainee and his mentor. They had so many names for different cuts; there exist even 4 different sets of highlights! It was like entering a whole new world haha ;D

Location/Atmosphere: As said before-> clean, elegant, just how I like it. They offered me a drink, some yummy chocolate and gave me a lot of attention.

Time: Now this I knew before. It took literally 4 hours. I timed it (4:10 I think). Ugh~
Well it was after uni and I didn't have any plans so it was okay but I guess that's quite something. On the other hand, even an experienced hairdresser takes up to 2-3 hours when he does colours and gives you propper advice before.

Money: The best part ♥ For a students it is quite hard to afford, well, everything that we want so at 33 euros this was more than alright♪ Other hairdressers asked freakin 90-140 euros[my favourite one wanted 140!] for the same service O.O The trainee and his mentor even had an explanation for this-> 'ordinary' hairdressers see my long hair which is why they ask for so much.
They don't see at first sight that I don't have a difficult cut, for example no layers.

I had noticed this before and it makes me pretty sad because I feel in a way 'betrayed' by my old favourite hairdresser who kept asking for more and more money for the same cut, even without colour.
It's a propper injustice. >:

I also have to say that-why yes- I was satisfied in the end, however in my opinion my hair could still be a little brighter than it is now. I could tell the trainee had a hard time doing the layers and I know he still has to learn a lot ^^"

Summary ♪

 photo C360_2013-04-24-19-21-27_zps9bc35ce6.jpg

Pros
- really good advice and attention, no rush
- price
-location and 'information' on the business of hairdressers
- fun factor! I enjoyed my time there!

Cons:
- time
- if you are very picky, then you might not be happy with the result

I will surely go there again. As I said before, I want my hair to be even a little brighter than it is now, but I am very happy with the result ♥
Also they cut bangs for free and a dry haircut is super cheap ♥

Hehe and here on a little sidenote: One of the mentors asked me whether I'd like to model for them (both for training and shows) so I sad yes!
Mainly because there was no contract ~
I don't really believe in modelling and so on. In my opinion, it's not a nice business at all.
When I went home, I could tell people were looking at me in the street and a guy asked me for my number (which I didn't give him ehh). Maybe it was the haircut, maybe I was just happy that day but it's a big "YES" for Trio Academy.

Maybe it doesn't have to be Trio; there could be a Hair Academy where you live, too. I think it's a great thing but you have to be quite patient when you go there. ♥

Next time will be a personal post or something about make-up.

I'm off to a friend now and we will go clubbing later!

Lazy Sunday & Outfits

Whatever happened to the idea of doing regular Sunday posts? D:
I'm sorry~
Anyway, here is one because I am...well not exactly bored because I have loads to do, but I just feel very unenergized and uninspired today. Do you also have these moments?
Also, I wonder if it's good to blog when you feel like this XD probably not...

I went to a small Sakura festival with my mum (as in really really small) and it was nice, but now I feel tired and lazy.
I did not take any pictures but there were some little events such as a tea ceremony, some Judo, some Manga drawing and I met the girl who sold me a pretty ring back in 2012 but I can't fing the ring now :(
Also I snatched a Popteen for 4 euros ♪
Will read that later on. I'd never say that I wear (Hime) Gyaru style because I could never dress like them but aww those girls are so pretty.

Also my friends and me could not really decide on what to do today and before we really noticed it, it was already 5 pm. We ended up doing nothing//haha fail.
Nevermind ~

Because of the Sakura festival I was reminded of my Japan addiction hehe ♪ I've always wanted to travel there and never had the chance or the money. When I was in Scotland, all I could think of was Germany (obviously) but now Japan is back in the game ;D
Some of my friends know that I was into Manga and all that. I didn't do Cosplay and I didn't go to conventions so I'd say that I was not 'in the scene' but I read crazy amount of Ranma,Dragonball,Detective Conan, Jeanne...♪
I even did my school-dissertation ->German Facharbeit<- about Mangas.

So today I kinda also started to watch Anime again hahaha ~
the really old ones because they are so cute, funny and relaxing. There is a great parody of Yugioh on youtube btw [by LittleKuriboh] and today there was Dragonball on German TV.►YAY!
Yep, I was one of those saturday-8am-cereals-infront of TV-before parents get up-kids. You too? :3

Not onto some photos. I don't take many these days because I simply forget but sometimes I take outfit pictures before I walk out of the house. Without shoes :D Shoes are downstairs.

♥ Letters ♥ I mentioned in another post that I am tidying up lately. We will make one room something like a 'private study' which sounds so posh. Basically we just throw out the old trash, add some Ikea furniture such as a desk, a chair and a cupboard and voilà fancy private study room is done.

Well with tidying up I mean...Actually totally cleaning my room/the house. We have so many things still from my childhood that we should either throw away or, when in good condition, give to other people.
I get very sentimental when it comes to childhood memories. I'd always say that I had a very happy childhood ♥

In 5th grade my friends and me sent each other these small letters in class. Shhhh..♥
Most of them are by Lo, but I found many others.

Day with Sue ♥

Wohouu hey cuties ♥ This is gonna be a quick post because I have to go to uni soon-ish! I have a lecture about British culture and literature (I guess it's not all Shakespeare) and after this, I am off to go to Marburg with my boyfriend. He studies there and soon his next term starts :'(
But we will spend the weekend together ♪
So, on we go!

We recently noticed that we usually meet up when the rest of our 'gang' is coming, too XD

This is really strange because when we were younger, we used to spend many days just the two of us, looking for pretty bags, trying to do webdesign [and totally failing at it, at least me] and eating Golden Toast Croissants. Good ol' times, eh?
Anyway, both is fun, meeting up with a group of friends and meeting just one friend.

So yesterday, we went shopping. Both of us snatched some really cool pieces, but actually we talked more than we shopped ;;

Next we went to a store where Sue spotted the perfect uni bag ♥ She bought it after Ballet class when I was already home.
Some of you might remember George, Gina& Lucy bags because they were totally hyped when we were around 14 years old. At least in my town. And whether or not you like them, I guess you have to admitt how useful they are. The material is like unbreakable;; the bag doesn't mind when it gets wet and they are not too heavy. I'd say they are the more 'cool' and 'rock-ish' alternative to Longchamp for many school girls. If you don't know what I am talking about, have a look here

We also had a look at Primark and discussed child labour a little. It makes me really sad that so many stores, even the ones you wouldn't expect to do it, use children to make their production cheaper. On the one hand, you shouldn't support it because it is morally not correct. On the other hand, if you don't buy their products, these children can't make a living for themselves and their families. It's a whole pro and contra thing, really.
Have you heard about the scandal around Zara?:(

Okay, let's get back to shopping ;D I don't want to make anyone sad. Everybody has to make a decision for themselves. I personally will continue to shop at Primark and Zara, but not too much.

Update/Daily ♥

Hello ~
As I told you in my last post, there is so much to do when you move from one country to another XD
And many things are...just organizational stuff which is pretty boring and tiring.
I'm trying to do so many things at the same time these days. When I watch TV, I watch the News in every language there is because the situation in Korea is about to get pretty tense.
~
Here is a picture of the 'Lichthof' which is in the centre of Hannover's (main) university building.
Oh, and the photo was taken by me, it's not from a webside. The 'Lichthof' truly looks this pretty.

 photo C360_2013-04-04-07-30-42_zps007bab10.jpg

I'm currently just visiting university (we call it something like 'studying for guests') and not taking exams, but I plan to do so in some courses. This is really complicated as I have to ask each lecturer for permission to do so.

Clearly not in Maths though. Since I kind of skipped the first term when I was abroad, it is very difficult for me to even keep up with the lectures. The course I am taking is Analysis II, but of course Analysis I was done in the first term at German uni :'D
In English it was quite easy and when I checked out Politics (EU politics as that interests me the most) I noticed that they are doing what I did in Scotland!
Walking around in uni is such a pain so. It seems to be so much bigger than Aberdeen ahh!

And as always, everybody claims not to know anything. Ugh. Or they tell you to simply go on the webside which of course I did before ~
However some of the staff I spoke to was really helpful. It took a while to get their numbers but oh well
Sometimes you just gotta try a little harder and be persistent. Also it turns out that many of my courses from Scotland can be equivaleted and I don't even have to go abroad (unless I wish to do so) because I've already been in the UK for such a long time. Yay ♪

OK let's change topics ;D
Also since I use this blog for relaxing a lot...girly stuff will follow ♪

I finally got a full lenght mirror :'D gosh I wanted one so badly. Not only for outfits but also because it makes my room appear bigger and it goes so well with my furniture.
Getting it cause so much trouble. I've had my eye on a similar one at Porta (a furniture store) since Christmas and since it was on display, I thought I could just stop by and get it. Well that turned out to be such a fail! They had it on display, but they said they were out of mirrors and that I'd have to order it but also that they were not so sure when to get it. Probably in summer or something. I was slightly annoyed because...why would you display something if you're not sure whether the customer will be able to get it?
Ugh long complaint was long XD
Anyway, I found a much nicer and cheaper one after looking at literally all stores in Hannover.
And to reward myself, I bough a new shirt ;D ( that's so me, what did I reward myself for? XD)

This year, due to our economy crisis and more exhibition grounds closing down/getting smaller, my boyfriend's father closed this apartment and they had to take all the stuff out. This is really sad, but since they did not want to throw everything away, they kindly gave a lot to me :')
